We made it.
A few months ago, Not Naked Swim was just an idea…. now we’re going live!
"Wait… but why doesn't this exist?"
We set out trying to solve a problem we couldn't stop thinking about. Why did swimwear always feel like an impossible choice?
Too exposed or too covered. Too trendy or too frumpy. Tiny bikinis that felt more like underwear, or "modest" options that somehow forgot style altogether. …And don’t get us started on cover-ups.
We kept asking the same question: why isn't there a stylish middle ground?
Something polished. Fashion-forward. Chic. But also comfortable, wearable, confidence-building. Something you could wear to a resort, a family beach day, a work retreat, or a girls' trip and still feel like yourself.
We Talked to Women… A Lot of Women.
To validate, we conducted market research through surveys and honest conversations. One thing became incredibly clear: we definitely weren't the only ones feeling this way.
Women wanted more coverage, but not at the expense of style. Confidence without overexposure. Protection without feeling hidden.
And even our friends who didn’t originally think full coverage swimwear was for them, started questioning the standard.
Suddenly, this little idea started feeling… real.
So… We Made it!
Did we know anything about what we were getting into? no. but quickly what began as rough sketches turned into a crash course in fabric sourcing, fit & pattern making, UPF protection, sustainable eco-friendly materials and supply chains, and the thousands of other small choices that go into every piece. We obsessed over silhouettes. Adjusted proportions. Changed details we thought we loved, then changed them again. Because we didn't want to create just another swimsuit, we needed this to solve the coverage problem.

Our inaugural collection is four pieces, one vision:
• The She-eo — the one-piece for the woman who owns the room.
• The New Rules Top & Bottom — edgy, mix-and-match-ready.
• The Run This Town Top & Swim Skort — Foundational, polished, endless.
• The Essential Swim Short— Put them on and forget about them.
Recycled nylon with UPF 50+ built in, because we want to be protected from the sun while we enjoy the outside. Cut and sewn in the USA, by skilled artisans, in small batches we can stand behind. Plantable seed paper care instructions & Ocean-bound recycled polymailers, because we care about the earth we live in and the oceans we swim in. Every component, a conscious choice.

Our color palette is shaped by what our US mill has in stock, not the other way around. When a color is gone, it's gone. We think that's the point.
Along the Way… we grew a little…
The entire journey wasn’t rainbows and butterflies, but we navigated through the rough patches & have also had moments that still feel entirely unreal like participating in Miami Swim Week or being featured in Miami Living Magazine. Most notably, conversations along the way with women who immediately got it. Who told us, "Finally. I've been looking for something like this."
Those moments reminded us we weren't imagining the gap. It was real.
