About the brand.
Not Naked Swimwear is your one stop shop for beautiful and stylish swimwear that also keeps you appropriately covered.
At the heart of Not Naked Swimwear are two women with a commitment to delivering full coverage, fashion-forward swimwear that serves the modern woman and is eco-friendly.
Swimwear that is entirely designed, tested, and made by women, for women.
What we do.
Our goal is to create swimwear pieces that are elegant, flattering, and confidence inspiring for a variety of contexts; from family beach days to professional settings.
Sustainability is not just a feature of Not Naked Swimwear, it’s foundational. Our business is committed to using materials that are recycled and low-impact, reducing carbon emissions, and practicing ethical U.S. based production.
Since our initial conversations, it has always been our mission to create swimwear that also helps reduce waste.
We source from the U.S. and we manufacture in the U.S. to make sure our products stay ethical, consistent, and help local economies.
Why we do it.
Our idea came together with a primary focus to help women who are overlooked by current swimwear offerings: those who want to feel beautiful and stylish, without being overexposed no matter what occasion: family swim gathering, work paddle-boarding event, or just wanting to transition from lounging or activities straight to the water.
Not Naked Swim is meant to give you the full coverage you need to not wear a coverup.
Our Process
Problem statement
We didn’t feel supported by most of the current women’s swimwear industry. Felling like most swimwear was still “too cheeky” or the tops still left us wanting to cover up, so we took matters into our own hands.
Design & Collaborate Openly
During digital prototyping we iterate multiple times to ensure full coverage in our designs. Once produced, we personally test the pieces ourselves to find issues and work through them before going to market.
Produce with Purpose
Every item is different. Despite our best design efforts we don’t always hit the mark when it comes to producing our designs so if they don’t align with our values with coverage, conservation, and cost… we don’t produce them.
Style with ease
When we deliver, it’s not just a finished product: it’s a solution you can trust, backed by real care, sustainability, and effort. We design with women in mind, understanding our wants are unique to what’s our there today.
Behind the brand
Alejandra M, MBA —
Co-Founder & Co-Owner,
not naked swimwear
Alejandra is a proud mom of four and the co-founder of Not Naked Swimwear. As a busy, working mother who loves spending time outdoors at the beach, pool, or on family outings, she struggled to find swimsuits that offered both comfort and full coverage.
Like many moms, she often focuses on applying sunblock to her kids and forgets to reapply on herself, leaving her burned and exposed to harmful rays. The stylish swimsuits she helped design provide full-day wearability with UPF protection, acting like a built-in layer of sunscreen so women can stay confident and safe under the sun.
A Hungarian-Venezuelan immigrant and global citizen, Alejandra brings her business expertise and MBA-level strategic insight to every aspect of Not Naked Swimwear. Passionate about sustainable fashion and conscious consumerism, she ensures that each piece is thoughtfully crafted to last, minimizing waste and environmental impact. Alejandra is also deeply passionate about sustainable fashion, animal welfare, and environmental protection. She ensures the brand embraces principles of circular fashion and carbon-conscious manufacturing, combining style, functionality, and eco-responsibility. She's most excited to be helping modern, family-focused professional women make conscious choices without compromising quality or coverage.
Morgan W —
Co-Founder & Co-Owner,
not naked swimwear
Morgan is the co-founder of Not Naked Swimwear, driven by a deep passion for bringing products to market that ethically and sustainably represent all types of women in any occasion.
The idea originated from her personal struggle in a male-dominated industry to find women’s professional swimwear with full coverage and style for water-based team-building activities like boating and paddleboarding.
Her personal commitment to being primarily plant-based further drives not naked swimwear’s dedication to environmental accountability. Morgan is chosen child-free and brings a fashion-forward perspective to the brand, while focusing on verified reclaimed materials and ensuring Not Naked Swimwear is rooted in fair trade fashion through sustainably-sourced, eco-efficient production. As a natural redhead, Morgan is also fiercely committed to offering women swimwear solutions they can look fab while feeling confidently covered from the sun. This commitment is reflected in the brand’s focus on sun protective fabric for multi-function wearability.
